Nama Youth Guardians currently has three active fundraising projects, each supporting a different part of our mission:
- Buy a Brick – contributing to the construction and expansion of the Gazania Child and Youth care centre
- Guardians in Action – “Pencils & Possibilities” – providing school supplies and learning tools for children in the program.
- JAM Kids – “Play it foward” – supplying educational toys, arts and crafts materials, and fun activities.

Project overview
Pencils & Possibilities: Guardians in action
Our Guardians in Action program provides hands-on assistance with homework, school projects, extra classes, and fitness activities — but to make this possible, we need your help.
We are raising R5,000 to provide essential school supplies, including pencils, notebooks, textbooks, and other learning materials. Your contribution will directly support the children in completing their schoolwork, participating in learning activities, and developing their academic skills.
Every donation, big or small, helps create an environment where children can build confidence, develop discipline, and reach their full potential. Together, we can ensure that each child has the tools they need to succeed, turning study sessions and projects into stepping stones for a brighter future.
Play It Forward: JAM kids
The children in our JAM Kids program thrive when they have opportunities to play, create, and explore. Play isn’t just fun — it’s essential for learning, social growth, and building confidence. That’s why we are aiming to raise R10,000 to provide educational toys, arts and crafts supplies, and fun activities such as board games that will spark imagination and teamwork among the children.
Your support will help us bring laughter, creativity, and hands-on learning into every child’s day. Donors can also make a difference by contributing gently used toys that are still in great condition, helping us stretch our resources even further. Every donation, big or small, directly contributes to a joyful, stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and discover their potential.

Buy a brick project: Gazania Child and Youth Care Centre
We are building the Gazania child and youth care centre for vulnerable children in Namaqualand. Every brick laid brings us closer to opening our doors and providing love, safety, and a future full of possibilities.
This project will be completed in 5 phases.
- Phase 1: Site preparation, security features such as fencing and basic infrastructure,including necessary demolition and construction work.
- Phase 2: Core renovation, including the children’s living areas, office block, JAM kids hall and security features such as CCTV and alarm system
- Phase 3: Specially designed areas for children’s educational activities, study hall, play areas, and a medical bay.
- Phase 4: Care worker accommodations and housing for the program manager and their family.
- Phase 5: Final touches, including the installation of furniture, IT equipment, and contingency costs.
We need R 2 000 000 to complete Phase 1 and lay the foundation. Every contribution gets us one step closer to opening our doors!
