We are building a children’s home and safe haven
Our flagship program, the Gazania Safe Haven and Child and Youth Care Center, is designed to provide both permanent placements and temporary safe havens for children in need. We are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically, while also providing a space that benefits the broader community. The Gazania Children’s Home will be a beacon of hope, safety, and opportunity for children and families in Namaqualand
What we will offer
The facility will include a variety of essential spaces to ensure that all aspects of the children’s well-being are taken care of. A dedicated study hall will be equipped with computers, printers, and internet access, providing children with a space to complete homework, prepare for exams, and work on projects. This study hall will also serve as an after-school center for local children, ensuring that community kids have access to academic resources and support.
In addition to the study hall, the children’s home will have a dining hall for shared meals, a leisure hall for recreational activities, and a medical bay to address the children’s health needs. The home will also provide staff accommodation for care workers, ensuring that our team is close and available to support the children. The headquarters of Nama Youth Guardians will be based on the same grounds, strengthening the connection between the children’s home and the organization’s broader mission.
We need your help
The success of this project depends on the support of generous individuals, businesses, and organisations who believe in our mission. Your contributions will help us:
✔ Renovate and furnish living spaces for the children
✔ Build essential facilities like bathrooms, a dining area, and a study space
✔ Provide beds, clothing, and school supplies for every child we welcome
By funding this transformation, you become a part of a child’s journey to a brighter future.
Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to opening our doors to children in need.
